WHO WE ARE
Chi Alpha is a nationally appointed Christian campus ministry (not a fraternity or sorority) found on universities throughout the United States and around the world. We are groups of college–aged men and women earnestly following Jesus, discipling one another, and making lifelong friendships. We invite everyone to be a part of our ministry, regardless of background.

"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."

Even though our name is Greek, we're not a fraternity or sorority. We believe God longs for every person to be reconciled to Himself, and reconnection happens through the representation of his people. Each of us who takes on the identity of “Christian” becomes Christ’s ambassador – or christou apostoloi in Greek – which we shorten to the first letters “Chi” and “Alpha,” or XA. Our name is our constant reminder that each of us has a real part to play in this world. We each can carry Him within us to bring Him closer to the people around us.

UWRF Chi Alpha Director
Brian Ziolkowski
Brian and his wife, Bethany, came to River Falls in 2022 to launch Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at UW–River Falls. Before that, he served on Chi Alpha staff teams at both Winona State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth. Brian loves helping students discover who Jesus is, what it means to follow Him, and how to live out their faith in college and beyond. In his free time, Brian enjoys golfing, a good cup of coffee, most things outdoors, and spending time with Bethany and their three kids.
Associate Staff / Worship Director
Ashley Hewitt
Ashley moved to River Falls in the summer of 2026 from Winona, MN. She graduated from Winona State in 2023 and started serving as a Chi Alpha missionary after graduation. Ashley's heart is to walk alongside college students as they develop a relationship with Christ, helping them find their God-given purpose, identity, gifts, and passions. She is also pursuing a Strategic Leadership (Spiritual Formation) Master's Degree from North Central University. In her free time, Ashley loves playing piano, being outside, reading, and being active.

Ethan and Kaylynne both work in marketplace jobs but love to help out at Chi Alpha services and pour into college students.
